PAT for Cubyts VS Code Plugin

This article provides an overview of the steps that must be executed by the user to create the PAT (Personal Access Token) for the VS Code Plugin supported by Cubyts for Code analysis and Review in the IDE.


Steps to be performed in the Cubyts platform


Step 1: Sign-in to Cubyts platform and click on your profile as indicated in the image shown below:



Step 2: Click on the “Generate Personal Access Token” button as indicated in the image shown below:



Step 3: Copy the token and click on “Done” as indicated in the image shown below (Please note that you should save the token securely as the token is visible only once):



Note: You can regenerate or delete the token; Deleting a token will break any existing integrations that rely on it.



Steps to be performed in VS Code


Step 4: Go to VS Code and install the Cubyts Code Analysis plugin from this link


Step 5: Click on the plugin and then click on “Add Personal Access Token” button as shown in the image below:



Step 6: Copy the generated token (from Cubyts) into the text box as shown in the image below:



Step 7: How to update the PAT in VS Code? If you regenerate the PAT in Cubyts then click on the settings button (see the image shown below) and update the PAT token.




Note: Please perform the additional steps mentioned in this article if you have implemented the hosted version of Cubyts.
